SHUAA Capital was the Platinum sponsor of The King Hussein Cancer Foundation Charity Gala Dinner which was under the patronage and in the presence of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of UAE, Ruler of Dubai.

More than five hundred high profile guests attended the gala dinner to show their support and contribution to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation in Jordan, which was the foundation’s first event in Dubai.

The evening rich with entertainment included a performance of Arabic music and jazz by the celebrated Lebanese musician Jihad Akl and a fashion show by Jordanian designer, Samia Mango, showcasing a number of her exquisitely designed traditional Arabic kaftans and jewelry.

Targeting to be part of the general effort in creating a platform to complement the economic development objectives of the Arab world and launch young and dynamic ventures, SHUAA Capital was the gold sponsor of The Arab Business Challenge (“ABC”) which is a region-wide business plan competition initiated by the Arab Business Angels Network (“ABAN”), an organization founded by Dubai International Capital which brought together entrepreneurs seeking to fund their business ideas and investors looking for early-stage investment opportunities.

Teams from the Middle East and North Africa region submitted and discussed their business plan in front of a jury consisting of leading investment and marketing leaders. The two winning business plans were funded and supported by the organization.
